Barcelona have confirmed that Jordi Alba will be available to play in Friday’s Copa del Rey clash with Cartagena.

The left-back has been out of action since October due to a muscle injury but returned to training on Tuesday and was again present as the first team worked alongside Barca B on Wednesday morning.
The news comes as a timely boost to the Blaugrana, who have lost their last two matches, and the club have now confirmed that he will be fit to be selected for the trip to the Segunda B outfit.
“The first team continued its preparation for the Copa del Rey game against Cartagena,” a club statement read. “The session took place together with Barca B, on pitch number two in the Ciudad Deportiva.
“All the available players in the squad took part, including Jordi Alba, who the day before returned to work with the group.”
